Never Forget - 9/11/2001

For most people today, there are few things that stand out as clearly as September 11, 2001. It was a terrible day, and is one that I will never forget. I remember it clearly. I was a sophomore in high school and was with my mom on our way to school. I heard it on the radio and watched it on the news for the rest of the day. I was in California and so far away from any of the turmoil, and I was terrified.

A few months ago, I had the opportunity to travel with family to New York City and stay a week. I was able to see Ground Zero, One World Observatory, the Survivor Tree, St. Paul's Chapel, and the Oculus.

It was a surreal experience and couldn't imagine being in New York on September 11, 2001. Never Forget, and take a second today to hug your loved ones.
